  These aren’t codeshares in any way, shape, or form. They are BA flights that just happen to be operated by borrowed aircraft and crew.

    Desired bookings entered into ITA this morning do pop up (ex-EU to South South Africa) all in R bucket (viz. Business Promo). Less than £1300 return. Strangely though choosing precise flights manually on Qatar site yields a fare of £2k and via OTAs oft cannot find the flights at all.

    A question to all: how best would one suggest trying to book an ITA itinerary these days? Have Propeller or any other travel agent done so with any ease whether or not online options elude?

  OT. Has anyone targeted for the enhanced 3:1 Amex MR to Hilton Honors transfer rate done a transfer? And, if so, did the bonus points arrive at the same time? Told by Amex the bonus points may take up to 8 weeks to arrive. Thanks.

    Another one here who got the standard 2x points within a few days, but not the bonus after a couple of weeks. Haven’t chased it yet.

  The “Just Eat” logo is a great way to identify potential real-time takeaway discounts.

  “Just Ask” at the counter, if you pop in, for 10% for not buying on-line.

  The Qatar sale is a funny one this time. I’m based in Warsaw and looking at flight options to Jakarta. It’s actually £800 cheaper for the business class return to fly from London than it is from Warsaw. It also means a much nicer seat! The business class A330 on the WAW-DOH leg is rather cramped!

  Quick OT: does anyone know for certain if a £100+ car hire bought on ba.com will trigger the 1500 avios BA AmEx offer – I assume the purchase goes through as BA.com but wondered if anyone is sure.

  The rental is £102 which is same as elsewhere, then I should get this 1500 plus apparently a 250 bonus for paying with BA AmEx which is what has thrown me because I figure it must show on your statement in a particular way for the 250 to be applied. And some extra avios (700?) for the 3 day rental, apparently.
