With the end of October approaching rapidly, there is a lot going on. The key one is possibly the end of the 35% bonus for converting hotel points into Avios. Tomorrow is also the end of the ‘13,200 Avios for an Economist subscription’ deal, but this one comes and goes every couple of months.

Last day for BA‘s ‘Kids Fly Free’ promotion to various domestic airports (and Billund!). Article.

Last day to earn 3,000 Virgin Flying Club miles with an International Money Transfer. Article.

Last day to earn 13,200 Avios with an Economist subscription. Article.

It has often taken a long time to get the Avios for an Economist subscription through Iberia.
This year I did it through the Avios.com site and the points arrived in less than a week; before the first newspaper. I believe that it is also possible through BAEC.

Thanks for the reminders. I’ve just transferred some old Hilton and Best Western points to BAEC. Not sure what the relative values are, or were, but they were never going to do me any good where they were.

Still no sign of any Ruling Luggage avios from an order on 11 September, despite several assurances they would arrive, and one last week saying they had been ‘charged’ to my account.

  Mine have landed in my avios and BAEC accounts – I had to check the accounts though, there was no email notification.

Think I mentioned above that I have ‘chased’ – hence the comments about assurances and latest email last week saying that it had been done. Still nothing in my account however, so more chasing to be done I feel.
