This week we are running a great competition in association with Rolling Luggage.  One Head for Points reader will win a pretty cool set of new suitcases, worth over £600.

Rolling Luggage is the latest company to join forces with Avios.  You now have the opportunity to collect Avios when buying luggage, either online or instore.

The luggage company, owned by the Samsonite Group, has stores in major airports as well as on high streets in the UK, Denmark, Ireland and Norway, although you can only collect Avios in the UK.  It sells brands such as Samsonite, TUMI, American Tourister, Lipault and Hartmann.

  • EOC says:

    Nice competition, thanks.
I looked up that smart American Tourister cabin bag they sell for £105 and with avois at 0.1p each thats £90 after the promo. Ok.. a 5 second Google search found it at £78.75 or another 15pct cheaper still, err…….

    • David says:

Would like to enter, but I am currently in Tokyo and apparently, the promotion isn’t available in my region…!

  • David says:

Would love to enter but when I go to the link I get the following error:

Sorry, this promotion is not available in your region

I believe this is because the vessel I am currently working on (in the North Sea) uses a server (ISP) that is based in Scandinavia (Norway)…arrgh.

So despite being a UK resident I cant enter.

  • Rob Hutch says:

UK resident on holiday in Portugal = no entry. FFS.

    • David says:

Calm down dear, there are plenty of ways around it.

    • Q says:

Will you people never cease! This is getting really tedious. need your hand held every step of the way?

    • Billy-Bob says:

Come on Hutch – you snowflake rabbit!!! Are you using the BBC iPlayer whilst on holiday too? There has to be a way of differentiating UK and non-UK residents, and via IP address location is currently the least worst way. And can quite easily be circumvented – and widely is- for nil cost.

      • Rob Brown says:

I get stuck because my work use a french IP (As it is a french company) so I am going to have to go to the IT team and say that it is annoying that whilst I am skiving in the morning and reading a blog I can not enter the competition – and by the time I get home where I have a UK IP (at least I assume I do) I tend to forget that I need to enter. I will tell them that their policy is so outragous I almost have no choice but to spend my time here actually doing my job … almost!!

    • Ray says:

UK resident currently on holiday in Hungary, just entered with the help of Tunnelbear (also just played the National Lottery)

      • John says:

In Hungary….on holiday….playing the lottery back home?

I’m clearly doing holidays all wrong.

  • TripRep says:

This is a decent compo Anika, appreciate HFP running it. Would love to win.

To all the moaners, if you’re not currently in the UK, use a VPN or get a friend in the UK to enter for you. Oh and cheer up! 😀

    • David says:

I’m not moaning…just stating a fact…..considering the ‘promotion’ is targeted at travelers, surely HFP should have considered that many who will be reading this will be dotted all over the world:-/

  • Andrew says:

What ever happened to that whiskey competition? Have the results been announced?

  • N says:

    How are everyone’s luggage tags?

    • Anna says:

Mine hasn’t arrived yet, but my umbrella, purchased the previous day, arrived about 2 weeks ago! Maybe they ran out of tags for some strange reason…

      • Anna says:

Also hope they are honouring the 1000 avios deal which was offered before they introduced the £100 minimum purchase requirement, as those haven’t shown up yet either!

    • Hsergio10 says:

+1 not shown yet (in BAEC account)

I’m afraid I have to wait those 28 days window

    • Tilly says:

Didn’t get luggage tag but did get new luggage lock which is good. Hoping they honour the 1k points. Not showing yet in my BAEC account.

      • Zoe says:

My 2 tags arrived just fine, now I’ve been sent an email asking for a review, I’d rather have the points please!

        • Tilly says:

Ditto. I might leave a review ofI get the points……. I’ll defintiely leave a negative review if I don’t get the points.

  • Cate says:

So just blue and black then? Nothing more gender neutral or am I supposed to follow the link and pay for mine which conveniently only has female models to help me with my decision…..?

  • Ace Rimmer says:

Brilliant competition. Just what I need for my up-and -coming three weeks in Hawaii (2-4-1 in First as far as San Jose, CA earned through getting brilliant – and free! – advice from this site) to celebrate end of paid employment
