News in brief:
1,200 Avios with LEGO DC Heroes
Tesco Direct has launched another LEGO offer which can earn you Avios.
Until 26th April you will get 500 extra Clubcard points – convertible into 1,200 Avios or 1,250 Virgin Flying Club miles – when you spend £30 or more on LEGO DC Super Heroes. Full details are in this Shopper Points article.
Heathrow Rewards adds AerClub as a partner – and a competition
Heathrow Rewards has added Aer Lingus AerClub as a redemption partner.
This doesn’t make any major difference to the scheme. Before, an Irish-based member of AerClub could simply have transferred their Heathrow Rewards points to British Airways Executive Club and then on to AerClub via ‘Combine My Avios’. You now save a little time but the end result is the same.
However ….. there is one interesting quirk. If you transfer Heathrow Rewards points to AerClub before 31st May, you will be entered into a draw to win one prize of 10,000 Heathrow Rewards points. That is worth 10,000 Avios (potentially more if you wait for a transfer bonus) or a £100 Heathrow shopping voucher.
If you were planning to transfer Heathrow Rewards to avios.com or BA, you might want to open an AerClub account instead and send them there. It gets you entered into the competition and you can move the Avios across via ‘Combine My Avios’.
Hilton’s OneRepublic concert at Abbey Road Studios
I think that Head for Points readers will make up a decent percentage of the 150 people going to the Hilton Honors reception and concert at Abbey Road Studios tonight, featuring OneRepublic.
Tickets were offered via the Hilton @Play auction site for 60,000 points per pair, which includes a pre-concert reception. Even better value was 100,000 Hilton points for the tickets plus a night at the Hilton London Paddington afterwards. Tickets have also been offered to selected Hilton Diamond members.
Anika and I will be there, so please do say Hi. I will run a couple of pictures next week.
