Win 100,000 Avios with Avis – simply fill in a form

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

If all goes to plan, we should have a fantastic competition to win a very large pile of Avios exclusively for Head for Points readers over the next week or so.

In the meantime, you might want to have a look at this Avios / Avis competition to win 100,000 Avios points.

It has been knocking around for a few weeks but I missed it until yesterday.  The deadline for entries is Wednesday 30th so don’t hang around.

Entering is easy.  All you need to do is visit this website and fill in your name and address.  Note that the (optional) box for your Avios account number is for an avios.com number and not a British Airways Executive Club one.

No purchase is required and you don’t need to have rented from Avis recently either.

There is no need to watch the video, but it has lots of nice Irish scenery in it – but not many jokes.  Sorry Jarlath ….

  • Andy S says:

well i’ve never bothered with an avios account before (not seeing the point having BA account) but this was the incintive to sign up!

  • JPH says:

Link doesn’t work for me in either Chrome or IE.

    Anyone else having a problem?

  • mark1980 says:

Rob, OT but any idea why QR avios redemptions are no longer available to / from the UK? There used to be wide open availability for all the UK-DOH routes and now there are none. Yet there is still loads of availability for Eu airports auch as AMX, CDG, MXP etc etc…

    • Rob says:

Haven’t seen this, to be honest. Could it be something to do with the new BA / Qatar revenue sharing / codesharing deal?

      • mark1980 says:

No idea but it’s frustrating as I was looking at Doh – Man next March and they suddenly stopped showing up. Tried other UK destinations and the same aswell. OT again – but off the top pof your head do you know how much taxes you pay for a DXB – LHR flight on Qantas in J? It always errors when I try and look in BAEC.

        • Wayne Phillips says:

You should be able to make a dummy ITA matrix booking and see the taxes

Remember that competition you ran ages ago with Qatar, which specifically wanted entrants from ROI/N Ireland (presumably to add to its mailing list):

Entered myself and Mrs Gavin – look forward to the HfP competition!

Off topic, does anyone know a clever way of keeping Carlson Club (Radisson hotels) points valid without having to make a stay at their hotels. My points expire in 30 days but I’m unable to complete a stay during that time. Any advice appreciated.

      • Wayne Phillips says:

Can transfer to a partner who’s been living at the same address for the last month or so (if you have one)- I just did this yesterday via emailing customer services. That’s with no status. Fewer restrictions if you have status

      • Nick says:

        Amex MR points transfer..

  • MrHandBaggageOnly says:

Entered, thanks. But more importantly it jogged me to check my Avios account and…

…O/T My 4,500 bonus Avios for the Sunday Times Travel Mag subscription (applied on 22/10) has appeared today. Thanks for the tip on that! Also read my first copy of the magazine last night and thought it was a good read. 🙂

    • RussellH says:

Still not in my BA Exec Club a/c. I was promised them by last Monday, and no reply yet to my follow up e-mail either.
