More cheap Australia and New Zealand sale deals from Qatar Airways and Etihad

I have run various articles over the last couple of days covering generous sale fares to Australia and New Zealand on Etihad (£1,500 from Istanbul, now gone) and Qatar Airways (an aggressive deal from Helsinki).

A few more options have emerged over the last couple of days.  If you have been planning a trip to Australia or New Zealand then now is an excellent time to book yourself a cheap business class ticket on a high quality airline.

Qatar Airways A350 Doha

Qatar Airways

I touched on the Helsinki deal in this article.  Read this article if you are thinking of booking anything on Qatar Airways as it discusses some key things you need know about its business class.

There are also excellent fares out of Copenhagen as this page of the Qatar Airways Danish site shows.

Based on one person travelling, they have:

  • Adelaide DKK 15,849 (£1,808)
  • Auckland DKK 17,659 (£2,014)
  • Melbourne DKK 19,489 (£2,223)
  • Perth DKK 19,469 (£2,220)
  • Sydney DKK 19,439 (£2,217)

Fare are 20% cheaper if two people travel together.   Sydney comes down to DKK 15,669 (£1,787) whilst Melbourne is DKK 15,680 (£1,789).

Qatar Airways also has some deals out of Berlin which are a little more expensive but which may be more convenient than Helsinki or Copenhagen.  Adelaide is just €2,164 when two people travel.

You need to book by 5th September for travel by 30th June 2017, black out dates apply.

Etihad A380

Etihad

I thought that the best Etihad deal had gone with the Istanbul flash sale, but a couple of deals are still around.

From Dublin, you can fly to Sydney, Perth or Melbourne for around €2,320 (£1,970) in Business Class.  The home page for the Dublin deals is here.

Again, book by 5th September for travel by 30th June.

Just priced up IST-MEL for March 2017 for £1,267 with Qatar. ATH-MEL is coming in at £200 extra.

I see the triple QMiles offer is showing as only available to Qatar residents. Am planning on crediting to BA though (only 400TPs from IST).

I like the fact they allow you to hold flights for up to 72 hours before having to confirm….just gives me a little more time to hunt down some further bargains although I don’t think I’ll find a better deal than £1,267 + a BA LHR-IST positioning flight (£108 using the BMI 10% discount)!

So QR seem to have sent out an email with a 10% off code although I didn’t get an email 🙁

If I use the 10% off promo code does that mean my flight wouldn’t count towards the globetrotter promo ??

  • Wallace Lo says:

Today is the last day of the QR sale and they have up their stake with QUADRUPLE MILES.

Also a chance to be in a draw for a price and I have won 100k QMiles

This flight i booked down under worked out to be half price with the bonus and lucky draw.
