Flying Blue Petroleum – another good scheme for oil and energy sector employees

  It’s worth pointing out that KLM have put a few restrictions on the benefits in the past couple of years. This used to be great for flying through Amsterdam (my home airport is Norwich) and having access to the Crown Lounge.

  They change access to card holders who have connecting flights with SkyTeam only. It used to be that either your incoming or outgoing carrier needed to be a partner, which is rather a shame for me as the only option I have to get to my “oilfield” destination is Air Astana (Kazakhstan)

  The Flying Blue Petroleum scheme seems to benefit lower status Flying Blue card holders flying Economy or Premium Economy the most, which is handy given current oil prices! I work in the Oil & Gas industry, but at an engineering consultancy / contractor rather than an oil or gas producer. Are these sorts of companies allowed under Flying Blue Petroleum?

    I work for a research consultancy and I know that those in our company who have applied were accepted, so you should be fine.
