500 free Hilton HHonors points for 30 seconds work, potentially

Hilton HHonors has its own online shopping mall, similar to the British Airways Gate 365 store.  This allows you to earn Hilton points whilst shopping at participating retailers.

Hilton is currently offering 500 Hilton HHonors points if you log in for the first time.

Hilton shop to earn

That is it.  You don’t need to buy anything – simply log in.

The only reason I added ‘potentially’ to the headline is that there is a chance that this offer is restricted to US residents.  There is no evidence of this but, as I cannot find the terms and conditions, we can’t be sure.

The offer is also restricted to the first 10,000 applicants and there is no guarantee that Hilton will remove the ad for this offer quickly if the target has been reached.

Given how quickly you can register, however, it is still worth doing regardless.  If they don’t post then you haven’t lost anything.

The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.

You can also earn Hilton Honors points indirectly with American Express Gold (20,000 bonus points), the American Express Rewards Credit Card (5,000 bonus points) and – for small business owners – American Express Business Gold (20,000 bonus points) and Business Platinum (40,000 bonus points).

  • Dave H says:

logged in ok, as said above it is showing UK retailers, so just have to see if the points post

  • Graeme says:

It let me sign up ok.

  • Roger says:

I logged in and got the ‘not in our offering’, followed immediately by the Welcome e-mail.

Oo er. I guess I’ll find out on 10 December if this has been worth 500 points.

  • Rob says:

Worked fine for me, in the UK, across 3 family accounts.

  • Andrew says:

    Worked for me.

Assume this also stops points expiring if you haven’t used Hilton in a while.

  • Hana says:

It didn’t work for me, where is it available for?

  • linda says:

Logged in and went straight to the offers page, so will wait and see.

  • Barry says:

    Got a variety of above responses;
    – We apologize but the selected online shop is not available in our offering
    – Followed by email introducing the offer
    – tried to log in again, I think I succeeded although not sure if that was just a HHonors log in rather than for promo
    – then got selected online shop unavailable again
    – selected M&S and got in, but message says have to purchase to receive points (not sure if this is some M&S points rather than the Hilton sign up)

Whatever, I’ve given it a shot, thanks for the heads up as usual!
