  The best value I find in terms of wine on the web is to order either higher end stuff from bidforwine.co.uk they are an auction site but tons of stuff seems to go through them when they have a job lot of sales to do.

  Otherwise, for bargain basement stuff Vinissimus is good if you don’t mind ordering from the continent – Spain. They have cheap fizz but you need to wait for a special offer on delivery, or make a more expensive order so that it has less of an impact.

  Other than that, the Sainsbury’s offer of using a voucher and then 25pc off six and combined with a three for 12 pounds offer is quite good.

  Another reason why Naked is a waste of time.

  We bought something with delivery guaranteed for yesterday. Nothing came. But what’s this? An e-mail in late afternoon saying:
  ‘I’m really sorry, but your wines won’t be with you today as expected.
  You don’t need to do a thing – we’re on the case and will make sure you get your wines as soon as possible.’

  No reason, no estimate of delivery. Harrumph! Not good enough, especially as they charged for delivery.

  Feeling a bit smug that I also bought wine I actually wanted with 25% off for min 6 bottles and free delivery. 🙂
