LAST DAY: British Airways World Traveller and World Traveller Plus sale ends today

If you were planning to book a British Airways World Traveller or World Traveller Plus ticket in the next few days, don’t forget that today is the last day of the current BA sale.

Depending on where you want to go, you can book for travel up to June 2016. In general, these fares are for travel after 1st September 2015.

The sale ONLY covers World Traveller (economy) and World Traveller Plus (premium economy). There are no Club World or First Class discounts at present – although you may be able to ‘upgrade using Avios’ and book your World Traveller Plus ticket directly into Club World.

Of course, the rates for upgrading from World Traveller Plus to Club World were increased substantially on April 28th. You also need Avios reward availability to be showing in Club World for an upgrade to be possible.

Here are the summary terms:

Book before 21 June 2016 (ie today)

Travel dates vary considerable but are generally between September 2015 and March / May / June 2016 depending on destination

Black-out dates apply.

The easiest way to check out the best prices to a specific destination is with the British Airways Low Fare Finder tool on ba.com. This will show you the cheapest price on any route, in any class, on month by month basis.

If you can be flexible with dates, there are some decent fares available. The cheapest available seems to be (these are all World Traveller):

New York £381

Miami £461

Dubai £369

Mumbai £493

Bangkok £559

Tokyo £567

Note that many US West Coast fares have not moved much, eg San Francisco is £678 which is £150 more than the previous sale.

World Traveller Plus routes start at £650 (Dubai, decent price for a day flight where WTP is fine), £787 to Delhi, £884 (Antigua) and a tempting £874 to Orlando or Tampa.
