New Amex cashback offers with retailers you may actually visit

If you had begun to think that the American Express statement credit deals were getting rather too eclectic (Plenish Cleanse?  Paper London?), the good news is that a new raft of deals was launched yesterday.

If you have an Amex-issued American Express card, you need to register by visiting your online account and clicking the ‘Offers’ tab at the bottom of the statement page.  You should see some or all of the following:

  • £10 off £50 spend at Shell
  • £10 off £65 spend at World Duty Free
  • £15 off £60 spend at Ocado
  • £5 off £20 spend at Boots
  • £10 off £50 spend at thetrainline.com
  • £10 off £50 spend at House of Fraser
  • £10 off £40 spend at Debenhams
  • £10 off £25 spend at Vue Cinemas
  • £5 off £10 spend at Caffe Nero
  • £10 off £100 spend at Heals
  • £20 off £100 spend at Thomas Pink
  • £50 off £250 spend at Moss Bros
  • £10 off £50 spend at Fat Face
  • £20 off £200 spend at Co-Op Electrical

Expiry dates vary but most are in June.  Some offers have a cap for how many cards can be registered so don’t delay – once registered, there is no rush to actually make the relevant expenditure.

Remember that these deals stack with any other offer you have.  As long as you charge the required amount – in one transaction – to the Amex card you registered then the cashback will be paid.

The World Duty Free offer, for example, will work just fine alongside the £5 off coupons that are available easily online.  Buying a gift card to use later also works OK.

These are offers are NOT currently showing on the cardmemberoffers.co.uk site.  If you don’t see the one you want on your statement page, keep checking back to cardmemberoffers as – if it does turn up (as they usually do) – you can register there.

If you have a Lloyds, MBNA or Barclays Amex card, you can register here.

slightly ot, but on my Halifax debit card statement, under a transaction for lidl was an offer from waitrose for 10% off my next shop.

  • Adam says:

The boots offer – you can buy 3v at boots and also some shell garages sell Amazon gc.

    • trickster says:

Have you seen any 3V cards recently in Boots, or elsewhere for that matter?

      • idrive says:

3Vs disappeared long time ago. Last I bought I think was in Dec and that was already a rarity.
After Oct I almost found none. No sign of pay.com market yet.

        • The Urbanite says:

I’ve recently seen 3Vs in stock in my local Morrisons and one Tesco in London!

          • mark2 says:

There is lonely card in Tesco Redditch this afternoon. I recognise from the torn card that it is one that failed to activate when I tried to buy it. I checked two Boots branches today and they had a very poor selection of gift cards, and one Shell filling station who had none.
I have a 10% cash back offer from Lloyds on purchases from Sainsburys but they do not seem to sell many types of gift cards.

  • Irons1980 says:

Odd – got every one except the Debenhams offer, which didn’t appear at all!

  • Phillip says:

Interesting… the Amex Connect site lets me register my own MBNA Etihad card, but not my partner’s, saying it is not recognised!

    • Jason says:

I had the same problem, with the BA Amex, for supplementary cards.

    • Mark says:

I have the same problem. It won’t recognise my Ethiad card but the Lloyds Bank card seems to be fine.

      • Matthew says:

Won’t recognise my etihad card either!

      • Mark says:

After contacting Amex via the site I got an email today saying that MBNA would be in touch. They haven’t as yet but I’ve now been able to successfully register my Etihad card. For anyone else having the same problem it may be worth trying again.

  • Dave B says:

I got all the offers except Debenhamsit too. I think it may be targeted, given there are a few variants and it’s not on the websites.

  • Andre says:

Any idea if I can register a TSB issued Amex? Is says a card number is not recognised or not eligible.

    • Jason says:

I managed to register both Lloyd’s Amex cards, through the Avios website.

  • John says:

I have these offers both on my Amex The Preferred Rewards Gold Card and my Amex Gold credit card, does that mean I get the offers twice?

Do you need to spend the money in one transaction? as recently I got a refund from Great western trains for spending £60 but I did this over 3 transactions over 6wks.

    • JQ says:

Yes you can use them twice. Multiple transactions seem to work but if you don’t get the statement credit and it wasn’t in one transaction, then you can’t complain.

  • Blackberryaddict says:

Didn’t get the Debenhams offer on any of our cards. By the way, ho do you register a supplementary card for these offers?

    • polly says:

Think its one per card…..it will tell you if you open up the t & c
