Some news in brief:

£15 Hailo black cab credit – including existing users

London taxi app Hailo is running a promotion in association with Travelex to offer £15 of credit to everyone – even people who are already registered with the service.

If you are not already a Hailo user, you need to download the Hailo app for Android or iOS and enter code TRAVELEX15 under the ‘Wallet’ section.  If you ARE a Hailo customer, simply add the code on the ‘Wallet’ page.

The £15 credit will immediately show.  I have tested this with my existing Hailo account and it works fine.  Note that the credit expires on Monday April 13th so don’t forget to use it by then.  My best guess is that the credit is only valid for one trip up to a maximum of £15 – you cannot take three rides of £5.

Hailo

Tesco DVD pre-order bonuses return

Tesco is again offering up to 200 bonus Clubcard points with selected DVD pre-orders.  This is worth 480 Avios or 500 Virgin Flying Club miles per order.

200 points are available on the last Hobbit film (£10, offer ends 19 April) – see here.  100 points are available on a selection of other films including The Theory of Everything and Birdman – see here.

The points are added to your Clubcard account immediately (and you are charged immediately) even though the disks are not sent out for a few weeks.

Kabbee

£10 of Kabbee minicab credit for London

Meanwhile, minicab app Kabbee has extended our special Head for Points sign-up code until the end of April.  Code [deleted as now expired] will get you a £10 credit when you register on their website or download the app.

More information and links can be found in our original article here.  Kabbee works with 70 minicab firms in London and is especially useful outside of the central areas where it is harder to get a black cab.

The code requires a minimum spend of £10.01 (you see your fare before accepting a ride) and must be used within two weeks of signing up.

Missoni Qatar

Designer First Class sleep suits from Qatar Airways

Finally, Qatar Airways sent me a press release to highlight their new designer First Class sleepwear.  Passengers on overnight flights in First will now receive a sleepsuit and slippers designed by Missoni.  As you can see from the image above, it is (for Missoni) quite tasteful.

A range of Giorgio Armani products has been introduced to both business class and first class amenity kits.  This may, however, not beat the 30ml bottle of Ferragamo EDT that I got in Singapore Airlines First Class last Summer and which kept me going until Christmas.

Flew QR F in November on the A380 and got the same sleep suit kit and slippers by Missoni. Flight was day into night QR4 LHR-DOH. We also got Georgio Armani 30ml EDT in the amenity kits. Si for women and acqua di gio for men.
Was a wonderful flight to start our Honeymoon to the Maldives!

Hailo I code gives me an error message

    • Dan says:

I’m also getting an error message, something about their servers being busy.

Probably all the HfP readers waking up and using the code!

  • Bigglesgirl says:

From Qatar’s own tweet last night it suggests you get the new Missoni sleep suits in F and J. I will find out on 6/7 May when I fly QR833.

    • Jason says:

I assume it’s only for night flights as we flew Qatar J, on Tuesday, and weren’t given any pyjamas
      🙁
Very impressed with the food, drink and seat on the 787 🙂 if you have children, order children’s meals at least 3 days before as the food is a bit too fancy for children’s palates!

  • DV says:

The Hailo code works for me.

  • Tord says:

Hailo code says that it can only be used a limited amount of times…i.e error.

  • Longberry says:

Certainly an upgrade on the design. Now let’s see if they can a) lose the button on the sleeve and b) get a better fastening system for the waistband.

  • James says:

How do you get the 1000 points for changing password? I dont see it on the site

  • danksy says:

When ever I’ve travelled First (only twice 😀 ) I’ve always thought it etiquette to hand the Pyjamas back; in the same way I would with headphones etc! What do others do?

    • Rob says:

I do not pack nightwear and take the airlines ones for my hotel, then bin them before I fly back. Helps packing!

    • Tom C says:

I’ve always taken them. On JAL they even offer an additional pair with you to take.

    • Will says:

I took BA’s F PJs and have been wearing them for 12 months now……..
