Free night after two stays when you join Marriott Rewards

Marriott Rewards is currently offering a very interesting deal for new members – a free night after just two stays.
The good news is that you have up to 150 days to complete the two stays. You have all of the month you enrol plus a further 120 days after the end of that month.
More good news is that ALL of the Marriott brands count – Marriott, Courtyard, EDITION, Autograph, Renaissance, Protea, Residence Inn, Ritz-Carlton, AC Hotels etc.
There is one piece of bad news. The free night can only be redeemed at a Category 1-5 Marriott Rewards hotel. To be fair to Marriott, 80% of their properties globally fall in Category 1-5 – it is just that all of the high profile ones do not. There is nothing in London below Category 7, for instance.
The Marriott in Northampton – a Category 4 hotel, pictured above – is the sort of place you will be spending your free night.
However, it is wrong to look a gift horse in the mouth. If you have some Marriot stays coming up it is worth joining. You may want to sign-up (the link is here) in the name of your partner if you already have a Marriott account and they don’t – or risk opening a new account for yourself at a different address.
