Hyatt Gold Passport has taken a leaf out of the Marriott Rewards book and is running a number of different promotions for the January to April period.
They are generally underwhelming. In my case, the target is totally stupid.
Under the title ‘Stay More, Play More’, there appear to be five versions:
Earn 2,000 points on your next stay
Earn 5,000 points after two stays
Earn 20,000 points after 10 nights
Earn 5,000 points with 5 nights, another 10,000 at 10 nights, another 15,000 at 15 nights and another 20,000 at 20 nights (total 50,000 points)
Earn 30,000 points with 15 nights, another 15,000 at 20 nights and another 20,000 at 25 nights (total 65,000 points)
Give that I did no Hyatt stays at all last year and only three nights in 2013, I was expecting the most generous version. But no, I got the toughest one – Hyatt wants to me to complete 15 nights in the next three months to earn 30,000 bonus points. That will NOT be happening.
You should have had an email from Hyatt with your targeted promotion. If not, visit this page on the Hyatt website and enter your Gold Passport number. All will be revealed.
The stay dates for the offer are January 15th to April 30th.
