Back in June I wrote about the Hilton Premium Club. This is a membership scheme run by the various Hilton Group properties in Thailand. For a very modest £140 you receive a free night in any Hilton property in Thailand and a huge number of free food and discounted room night benefits.
Reader Alastair dropped me a note to highlight the Dusit Wine & Dine programme which runs on similar lines.
You can find full details here.
Membership of Dusit Wine & Dine costs 6,500 baht, which is currently £127. It is valid across the following luxury hotels in Thailand:
Dusit Thani Bangkok (pictured above)
Dusit Thani Hua Hin
Dusit Thani Pattaya
Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket
dusitD2 chiangmai
dusitD2 phuket
Dusit Princess Korat
Dusit Princess Srinakarin, Bangkok
Royal Princess Chiang Mai
Dusit Island Resort Chiang Rai
The most interesting benefits as far as I can see are:
A free night in any of the hotels above
2 x room upgrade certificates
8 x 2-4-1 accommodation certificates
A 500 baht spa voucher
Free bottle of wine when dining
Free sparkling when dining
1 person dines free when 2+ people dine (can be used multiple times)
As with the Hilton scheme, you need to do the maths to see if the scheme works for you. It is difficult to see how you would not get your money back via the free night certificate and, say, one 2-4-1 stay and that is before you factor in the dining deals.
