More British Airways route launches for Summer 2015

Last week I summarised the new route launches that British Airways is planning from Gatwick for Summer 2015.

A couple of days ago, British Airways announced a number of new leisure routes from Heathrow.

British Airways BA A320neo

The new services are:

Corfu (CFU) – 4 flights per week

Kos (KGS) – 2 flights per week

Olbia, Sardinia (OLB) – 2 flights per week (see photo)

Split (SPU) – 2 flights per week

All four routes will start in the first week of May and run until late September.

As usual, it will be a two-class service.  All flights will operate from Terminal 5 even though British Airways normally sneaks leisure routes (which don’t have much connecting traffic) into Terminal 3.

Tickets are already available on ba.com.

If anyone is booking a ba flight there i have a cople of compensation vouchers for sale at 80% cost. These still earn full avios and tp and can be used on any flught at ba.com

    • JQ says:

      Do you take Amex?

    • Eastland says:

      Richie Tell me more..

      • richie says:

Basically they are vouchers i myself snd family members recieved for compensation after a lenghy delay. They are an evoucher. You enter them on ba.com when buying a flight.. Any change is returned to you in a new evoucher. And if the evoucher doesnt cover the full cost of the booking you can pay the additional in the normal way. Eg credit/debit card.

    • Andy says:

Would be interested also Richie. How do I contact you?

      • richie says:

without one of us posting email address or phone number on here im not really sure.
        ………………

        • Alan says:

Raffles can see your email addresses so can probably do some matchmaking 😉

          • Richie says:

That would be good. 🙂 Or you could search on ebay for ba voucher, I have one listed at £750 or nearest offer. Picture is of a 747. You could message me a phone number on that. And I will call you back. Obviously I will take less when not on ebay as the 10% fees are a killer!
Paypal charge a bit but I’m happy to pay there reasonable fees for a safe and smooth transaction.

          • Richie says:

            Their*

          • Nick says:

Not nice to hijack a thread in this manner. Can you imagine these forums if everybody suddenly started advertising their vouchers

          • Aleks says:

Sorry nick I don’t agree. What Richie is offering is a genuine cash saving for someone. It’s not like he has a business and is bombarding us with advertising every day. He is only offering a way for him to get rid of some compensation vouchers and someone else to save some £££. It’s likely he only has 2 or 3 to sell and they will be snapped up pretty quick I’d reckon.
I read everyday and have noticed both you and Richie & rich (possibly same person)all comment and get involved in all topics pretty much daily so it’s not as if Rich has just turned up from nowhere.
I have bought a few of these vouchers off of ebay over the past year and think this site would be a good place to share them if raffles was to start some kind of market board.

As always keep up the great work raffles . Love the site

          • Rob says:

Rich is fine but it will not be a regular feature of HFP!

If anyone buys it off ebay, don’t forget to use the HFP ebay link in the right margin before you bid 🙂

  • Tim says:

BA already run a charter to Kalamata (for Neilsons). I am surprised they have not yet added a scheduled service there.

  • Rich. says:

Easyjet already fly to Kalamata and tickets are ££££££

    • Tim says:

This has been a Thomas Cook package route for a couple of decades. EasyJet joined in from Gatwick only two years ago. With the top-end Costa Navarino resort and Neilson’s endeavours exclusively chartering BA, I expect things to change. When is the question.

      Tim.

  • koroleon says:

So in terms of flights to greek islands, BA will be flying to Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Crete, Corfu and Kos this summer? That’s impressive given that they only started doing this last year.

  • Kevin says:

Has anybody heard anything about the success or not of the BA direct to Ibiza from Edinburgh route, would be very keen to see if this was back on for 2015.

    • Anon says:

Highly unsuccessful! Ended up cancelling many of the last flights. It was an experiment to get the utilisation of the aircraft up, but didn’t end up performing.

  • Speedbird_ABZ says:

I bought a friend’s BA voucher earlier this year and just to confirm, anyone can use it – they don’t care about the name, just the voucher number.

    • richie says:

Yes the terms and conditions do say its fully transferable. Google ba evoucher to see terms and conditions

  • David says:

At least in the case of Olbia, there has been a long standing summer-only Saturday BA charter from Heathrow on which you could buy seat-only tickets from the charter operator (Sardatur). Whether this operation gets taken over next year by the scheduled flights I don’t know, however the prices on BA.com for the Saturday flights are orders of magnitude more than the Wednesday ones.

  • Hobiz says:

I often see award seats on avios.com but not on BA. Does anyone know if BA can access these seats as well?

    • richie says:

dont think ba can access , but you can easily transfer your avios using ”transfer my avios”
im sure iv read on here before that avios.com has better avaliability than ba.com

    • Rob says:

Should no longer happen since Avios stopped giving away the cheapest cash tickets
