Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

£10 cashback via Amex with £60 World Duty Free spend

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

This deal has been around for a few weeks but I never got around to giving it a full post – the time has come to rectify that.

Until 30th September, you will receive a £10 American Express statement credit when you spend £60 at World Duty Free.

This is not just a Heathrow offer – it is valid at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Southampton.

It will also combine with World Duty Free discount vouchers as long as the remaining balance is £60 or more.  You can download a coupon here for £5 off a spend of £75.

You need to register your American Express card at this site.  Any Amex card, even a Lloyds or MBNA one, will be fine.

Given that it’s been around for a while, that’s not surprising. I think people need to be a bit independent and look out for their own offers, rather than relying solely on Head for Points…

  • RIccati says:

If only they did gift vouchers at World Duty Free.

  • Raffles says:

Bah, sorry about that. There has been quite a bit going on in recent weeks and this is one of the things that kept getting pushed back.

  • Aspirational Flyer says:

I used this offer last week and the £10 credit was applied to my Amex account within a couple of days. When used in conjunction with the £5 off WDF vouchers available online and the collection of Heathrow rewards it constitutes good value and encourages me to spend at the airport.

  • Neil says:

I managed to get this added a couple of weeks ago when you ran the “New Amex statement credit offers launched”, I just added everything that was available to me.

For anyone who does have it and goes to use it, even if you don’t have the £5 voucher, tell the cashier you do, but you couldn’t print it. This is what I did in Gatwick North Terminal, and the cashier scanned a voucher hanging from the till. For me the £10 statement credit was shown on the Monday after the Friday purchase.
