How to combine current Hilton promos with the Summer Sale

  It’s worth noting that the validity dates that Hilton give on their website for some of their promotions are not always fixed. I’ve just booked a hotel in Africa to visit family members in December and got the Summer Sale 33% discounted rate. I’ve done this before, under similar circumstances, when they’ve had the 33% “Getaway” promotions running.

  Conrad Cairo at £60ish is probably the cheapest option to trigger all of the above, but a bit out of the way for most people! Waldorf Versailles, Conrad Dublin or Rome Cavalieri at £120-140 are probably the cheapest ‘accessible’ options.

  If you’re in South Africa, Conrad Pezula looks very cheap now that the rand is much lower, starting at about £120. Of course, if you’re in South Africa, you’re probably thinking in rand, so it’s still expensive!

    You need to be careful not to let the tail wag the dog on this one – remember that Hilton points are only worth 0.3p. It might, for eg, swing me from the Westin to the Conrad if I was in Dublin anyway and the prices were the same though.

  Having been an avid follower of HFP and Flyertalk for many years I found myself becoming infatuated with the idea of building miles/points on hotels and flights that would keep accruing but would never be used! I’ve been feeling like an extreme couponer of late! 🙂 Yes, as a HH Gold I could earn around 26,000 points for a long weekend at the Dublin Conrad but at what cost? About £400 including flights?? That’s already half of the cost of our favourite hotel on the FL Gulf Coast and you can buy HH miles for $320 at the moment for the 20k points! It’s easy to become obsessed! Travel smart people!

  2500 bonus points for me next stay at Hampton Hilton Berlin, unfortunatley this Hotel is excluded from the double / tripple points. Add another bonus points with my new Hilton H credit card (just been relaunched), add 15% bonus points for being a silver member (with Hilton credit card). Not a bad number of points for a cheap 2 nights hampton stay plus some Iberia plus points as well.

    The Hampton Hilton Berlin is a really nice hotel – we had a top floor room with a balcony. It was middle of winter, so not for relaxing on. But the views were half decent.

      I’ve stayed there, it is exceptional value and 10x better than a HIX.

  Thanks (again) Raffles.

  In case of interest to others, I stayed 3 nights at the Double Tree Hilton Amsterdam over the weekend and managed to combine the following promotions after registering using the links above:

  * 2014 TRIPLE YOUR TRIP OFFER
  * DOUBLE POINTS OFFER
  * EMEA OTA 2500 POINTS OFFER
  * SILVER VIP BONUS – 15% 2014
  * BA DOUBLE DIP

  It meant the stay earned 31,622 points and 701 Avios off 7,018 “base points” which I am pretty pleased with.
