UPDATE – DECEMBER 2021: This article is now out of date, but don’t worry. We produce a monthly summary of the top hotel bonus point offers – please click HERE or use the ‘Hotel Offers’ menu above.

I have run a number of articles on Head for Points in the last couple of weeks about opportunities for earning bonus Hilton HHonors points:
2,500 points for your next stay
2,000 points per night for Conrad and Waldorf-Astoria stays
2,000 / 3,000 / 5,000 points for your next three Conrad and Waldorf-Astoria stays
All of these offers will combine if you are staying with the appropriate brand or geographic region.
Bearing these promotions in mind, it is worth a quick reminder about the Hilton Summer Sale. This offers discounts of up to 33% off the Best Available Rate for hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
There is a special home page for this promotion which you can find here.
These rates are valid:
Until 30 September, weekends only, for the UK and Europe (some hotels have weekday availability in August)
Until 5 October, every day, for the Middle East and Africa
Rates are non-refundable
If you can get the right deal here you could do very nicely from it. The Waldorf-Astoria in Berlin, for example, would be just €140 per night from Friday 15 August to Sunday 17 August. This would trigger the 2,500 points ‘next stay’ bonus and 4,000 points for a two-night Waldorf-Astoria stay and 2,000 points from the other Waldorf promotion and triple points via ‘Triple My Trip’!
Closer to home, the huge suite we had at Hilton St George’s Park at the National Football Centre (review coming later this week) is selling for £180 for a random Friday in August, compared to the cheapest comparable rate of £260.
How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (December 2021)
There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit cards. Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.
Do you know that holders of The Platinum Card from American Express receive FREE Hilton Honors Gold status for as long as they hold the card? It also comes with Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Radisson Rewards Gold and MeliaRewards Gold status. We reviewed American Express Platinum in detail here and you can apply here.

Did you know that the Virgin Atlantic credit cards are a great way of earning Hilton Honors points? Two Virgin Points can be converted into three Hilton Honors points. The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.
You can also earn Hilton Honors points indirectly with American Express Gold (20,000 bonus points), the American Express Rewards Credit Card (5,000 bonus points) and – for small business owners – American Express Business Gold (20,000 bonus points) and Business Platinum (40,000 bonus points).
