  I imagined this would be absolute pants on my iPhone 4S, but I am pleasantly surprised. It is obviously no match for the Kindle, but adjusting the options on the app means it is an easy and comfortable read for short periods of time.

  No wonder Tesco profits are still falling. They have completely failed to explain how to actually read an e-book; so why would anyone browsing thru Tesco actually stop to purchase? (let alone then finding the IT is as glitchy as a glitchety glitch, and no Amex :().
  Happily the posts above, here, give some insight.
  A great idea here most probably, but I’ll give it a wide birth for now.

  Can’t get in on my Nexus, refuses to recognise my CC number.

  So go to Google, search for Blinkbox and – lo and behold – a deposit £1 and get a free £5 credit.

  Site recognises my number and everything, and get credit.

  But when I go on my Nexus, doesn’t recognise my BB password?

  Is there a separate Blnkbox Books and a Blinkbox Films?

    Yes they are different entities. With Blinkbox you can acrue credit (I believe you need to put credit on to open an account). Whereas with Blinkbox Books it appears to be PAYG.

    Is Nexus android (no idea being an Apple man myself)

    Is it possible for two people with separate clubcards albeit the same club card account to buy the books thereby maximising the points earning opportunity ?

  So to confirm; amex not accepted, can only checkout with one book purchase at a time, and it’s sensible to buy a few different books vs 20 of the same kind?

  if you want to find the full 20 books for £1 each, just search for anything than list by price (witch will so all the books)

  tho im going to wait until they sort the basket out checking out one at a time is not worth it

  pazza i would order 20 unique books to make sure (same thing with games having to be on different consoles)

  Blinkbox is a terrible service, unless you’ve got one of very few devices that carry their app. Typical that they can’t combine the books with the films!

    Doesn’t surprise me, really. As the books are only available on apple or android devices, but the films are available on all sorts of devices, and they limit the number of devices you can link to an account, it’s sensible. Otherwise, you’d want to share a book between 3 tablets, but have 3 different devices linked to the film account. And you might want to buy books for your kids, but not give them access to the films you’ve rented.

    I watch films on 2 laptops and a bluray player, none of which are what I want to read the books on.

  How can I buy more than one e-book in a single transaction? I cannot find an option to create a shopping basket. When I select an e-book, I have to pay immediately. I can find no option to add it to my shopping basket and then close another one before going to the checkout stage.
