UPDATE – DECEMBER 2021: This article is now out of date, but don’t worry. We produce a monthly summary of the top hotel bonus point offers – please click HERE or use the ‘Hotel Offers’ menu above.
Marriott Rewards has launched a number of decent bonus points packages for stays in London and the surrounding area, including Heathrow.
A 4-star stay will earn 5,000 bonus points (which I would value at £25) whilst a 5-star stay will earn 10,000 points (which I would value at £50).
The full list of participating hotels can be found here.
The good news is that there is no minimum stay requirement. Being able to earn up to 10,000 bonus points from an overnight stay is very attractive.
The bad news is that room rates under this promotion are often either higher than the standard flexible rate or force you to book something more expensive than a standard room.
To book, you need to use promotional code M41 at the standard Marriott booking page. Here are some pricing examples for 6th May:
Renaissance Heathrow – £144 with 5,000 bonus points (flexible rate, includes breakfast and internet) vs £129 (flexible with breakfast but no internet)
Marriott Grosvenor Square – £384 (Executive Room with 10,000 points, cancellable) vs £384 (cancellable, Executive Room)
With the latter, the price is the same – although you need to book the more expensive lounge-included Executive Room.
This offer is valid for stays until May 24th.
