This offer has been running for a few weeks, but it has only just come to my attention – sorry.
According to the Esso Points website:
Collect 100 extra Tesco Clubcard points when purchasing one top wash or one set of 4 top washes at participating Esso Service Stations from 4th March 2014 until 28th April 2014
Here is the small print:
A top wash means a platinum car wash where available or a gold wash where no platinum is available. You must present your Clubcard or Clubcard key fob at the time of your purchase of either one top wash or one set of 4 prepaid top washes to qualify for the extra 100 Clubcard points.
If you’ve forgotten your Clubcard, or did not present it before payment, points may only be awarded up to seven days after the transaction or until 28th April (whichever is sooner), upon production of a valid receipt for one top wash or one set of 4 prepaid top washes at the site where the original transaction was made, and only at the sites marked * on the list of participating sites.
No retrospective award of points is possible at any site not marked with an * on this list. Presenting a car wash voucher for a top wash from a set of 4 prepaid vouchers does not qualify for any extra Clubcard points.
Reader David, who flagged this with me, said a Platinum wash was £9.50 where he lived. It is presumably a better deal if you can find a car wash which only offers a Gold wash.
100 Clubcard points is, of course, good for 240 Avios points or 250 Virgin Flying Club miles.
The offer runs until April 28th.
