Three new Tesco bonus Clubcard point promotions

Tesco Direct launched three new bonus Clubcard point promotions yesterday.  Frankly, none are worth getting involved in just for the points, but if you need the product anyway ….

The first is 150 bonus points (360 Avios, 375 Virgin Flying Club miles) for pre-ordering the new album by the Kaiser Chiefs.

The link is here.  It costs £10, so obviously a pointless deal in itself for 360 Avios points.  This deal runs to 30th March.

The second deal is 200 points for buying a Vodafone pay-as-you-go mobile phone.

The link is here, on Tesco Direct.  The cheapest at the time of typing is a Samsung E1200 for £8, and the bonus points show automatically in your basket.

£8 for 480 Avios is also a poor deal, although if you need a cheap throwaway phone it might do the job.  This deals ends on the 31st.

I had a look at some of the mobile phone recycling sites.  Unfortunately, none of the reputable ones offer anything worthwhile for these phones – one offered just 10p!  You can’t offset the cost of the phone that way.

The third is 500 Clubcard points (1,200 Avios) when you pre-order the new PlayStation and Xbox game Watch Dogs for £48.

This link is hereI do not know at this time if you can pre-order this game in-store for a small deposit or not!  Again, the offer ends on the 30th March.

Whilst none of these deals are ground-breaking, I am actually pleased to see them – I thought that Tesco had killed off such deals, but clearly not.

Watch Dogs is also available for £40 on the last generation consoles (Xbox 360, ps3), and there’s a music/books/games £5-off-£30 voucher currently too: TDX-YT3P.
