150 Etihad Guest or 100 Miles & More miles for every hotel review you write

  Has anyone done the maths to work out:

  a) Is it possible to earn a reward in any of these schemes solely by writing reviews?
  b) What is the lowest mileage required for any form of reward in these schemes? I’m guessing an economy ticket on a short Air Berlin hop might come in first.
  c) Is there a limit to the number of reviews you can make?

    Would love to know the answer here. If i had articles hand spun and used an Indian VA to submit them, what are the chances I would get my million plus miles for my thousands of wonderfully nebulous reviews 😉

    There is a monthly limit, I remember seeing it mentioned in the T&C’s.

    Not sure what sort of tax airberlin imposes via its own programme.

    To be honest, unless you are topping off an existing account I struggle to see much value in this, especially as they could pull the promo at any point up to the time you had earned enough miles.

  Are there any decent opportunities to earn airline miles with 1 of the programs then move them to IHG or Hilton?

    Not these two. Lufty does let you redeem directly for Hilton but you’d never get enough to make it!

  airberlin has a promotion now, doubling these points until end of April, giving 300 points per review up to 10 a month = 3,000 points for 3 months!
  This is a good 9,000 points.

  Nothing to stop you getting multiple family members producing reviews and submitting via their own accounts. This is useful if you have an etihad family account. Eg 4×10 reviews per month = 6000 miles. I completed several reviews this morning and they took a couple of minutes each. Easy miles if they come through. As usual these things will never last unfortunately

        They do randomly ask for evidence of your stay, e.g. copy of receipt, confirmation, a payment voucher or something similar with your stay and name. I have reviewed about 20 hotels and they had asked for evidence on 3 occasions.

        All my miles posted within 2-3 weeks of reviews being published.

    In general I am OK with it, except in ‘glitch’ scenarios, because when businesses see a lot of traffic from here they are more likely to consider advertising, sponsoring a competition etc.
