Three new £10 cashback deals from Amex launched

American Express has launched another couple of cashback offers available exclusively to holders of Amex-issued Amex cards.  For the purposes of Head for Points, that means Gold, Platinum, SPG and BA Amex cards.

You need to activate these offers before using them.

On a desktop PC, log in to your American Express account.  On the statement summary page for each card, you will see a box in the far right margin entitled ‘Your Offers’.  Click on that.

On the iPhone or iPad app, you will an icon marked ‘Offers’ very clearly on the page for each card.

This is what I have got, which seems to be common to most people:

£10 cashback on a £50 instore or online spend at Harvey Nichols, expires 16 March

£10 cashback on a £50 instore or online spend at House of Fraser, expires 16 March

£10 cashback on a £30 online spend at asos.com, expires 16 March

Older offers for Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Anthropologie, World Duty Free and Selfridges may also still be showing.  It is also possible that you will not have received some or all of these offers, depending on whether or not Amex is feeling the love for you at the moment ….

Remember that you can register for the offer across EVERY Amex-issued Amex card you have, excluding supplementary cards.  This means that – as long as you split the payment across multiple cards – you could save £20 on a £100 purchase or £30 on a £150 purchases, depending on how many Amex cards you have.

It is also worth remembering that purchases of gift cards will trigger the bonus, if you don’t have a suitable purchase in mind at the moment but still want to lock in the discount.

    Raffles,
    Detailed T&C’s for this state:
An “Eligible Card” is a valid American Express card issued in the UK by American Express Services Europe Limited, Lloyds Bank plc, TSB Bank plc or MBNA Europe Bank Limited

So, for instance, the Lloyds issued Amex should also work

    • Worzel says:

Zark(6:42 am): T&C’s for me show:

      Eligible Cards
Only consumer American Express Cards issued by American Express Services Europe Limited are eligible for the Offer.

The following are not eligible for the Offer: American Express cards issued by our bank partners, American Express Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards, Corporate Cards, pre-paid and gift cards.

      ?.

    • Rob says:

Thanks Zark. You would need to register via Foursquare I assume with a Lloyds or MBNA card.

  • Flyoff says:

This offer is available also by checking in on foursquare with an American Express card synced to the account as well as registering on the Amex site for the deal.

  • Jason says:

Just followed Andrew’s link to upload the offer to the Starwood Amex, it was already on my BA Amex card.

  • John says:

I’ve registered some of my supplementary cards, do you think they will work (despite what Raffles says in the main post)?

    • Rob says:

Does no harm to try if you have used up your normal cards

    • Andy says:

I used my 2 supplementary cards today in HOF (BAPP and Amex Gold) to buy gift cards. I did not get the email that my wife got when she used both of her cards (she is the main account holder on both), saying congratulations on spending £100 in HOF, so I will assume that sup cards don’t work with this FourSquare deal

    • Michele says:

I had used the ASOS offer with two of our Amex accounts and was unable to register again, so I’m assuming it is the same offer extended. However, using the shopping offers page, I was able to register the supp cards for both Amex accounts and last night (after I ordered a £30 ASOS gift voucher) received a confirmation email that I will receive a £10 credit as normal. Therefore it appears that registering the supp cards will work if you register online (not sure about Foursquare as advised by Andy above).

  • Arabmoney says:

They ran another Asos £10 of for £50 spend offer, and still had an ongoing £10 off for £30 spend going. Winning.

  • Trevor says:

Both Harvey Nichols and House of Fraser are available on Foursquare, so should certainly work on supp cards as all other offers have in the past. Another 2 similar offers currently running are £10 back off £50 spend at Somerset House, and same at OXO Tower.

  • Boi says:

would have ben great if they sold visa gift cards or those that can be used elsewhere….

  • Andy says:

Remember with HOF you can double dip by getting HOF reward points for buying gift cards, then getting them again when spending them.
