Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Need a gift? 1,000 Clubcard points (2,400 Avios) on £40 hi-fi and fitness equipment

I only run Tesco offers with bonus Tesco Clubcard points when I feel that the addition of the bonus points makes the offer especially attractive.  This is the case with these two promotions.

First up, you can earn an extra 1,000 Clubcard points on various Sony products.  The link is here.

Of particular interest is the DAB digital radio – it is out of stock at the time of typing but may come back.

Already reduced from £60 to £40, you would get 2,400 Avios or 2,500 Virgin Flying Club miles when buying it, plus the usual base miles.  This makes the net costs, if you value the miles at 1p, only £15.

The second promotion offers various health and fitness items with 1,000 bonus points.  Products start at £49.

It may even be possible to eBay some of these items to recover much of your cost.

Both offers end on 22nd January.

Just so people know, the Jawbone Up’s are going on eBay for as little as £60 (vs Tesco £99) so there’s a chance even with the 1,000 points you can be better of purchasing elsewhere.

I’m on my 2nd UP no idea how but I lost my 1st one off my wrist and never noticed…. I seriously don’t know how because it’s really noticeable when it catches on something. Anyway I replaced mine instantly because I loved mine so much. I never take mine off

Sadly the £19.99 ‘Runtastic armband’ is also out of stock.

    • darrenf says:

Tesco stock alerts work well – the fitness products offer has been alive for a couple of months now and I managed to snag an armband after getting an email alerting me they were in stock, back in early December.
