UPDATE – DECEMBER 2021: This article is now out of date, but don’t worry. We produce a monthly summary of the top hotel bonus point offers – please click HERE or use the ‘Hotel Offers’ menu above.
Accor is the hotel group behind Novotel, Sofitel, Mercure, Ibis and M Gallery, amongst others. It has teamed up with British Airways to offer triple Avios points on stays until the end of March.
To qualify for the ‘triple points’ offer, you must select British Airways Executive Club as your earnings partner in your Le Club Accorhotels account. You do NOT have to register for the promotion. There is also no minimum stay – last time they ran this promotion, you had to stay at least two nights.
As you can see here on the BA website, the standard earning rate with Accor is 1 Avios per €1 (0.5 Avios per €1 at Ibis) so this becomes 3 per €1 (1.5 at Ibis). This is not a bad return, although remember that many hotel groups give a flat 500 Avios points per stay as their standard reward.
You would still need to spend at least €170 with Accor to earn 500 Avios – whilst Club Carlson, IHG Rewards Club and Hyatt Gold Passport give you 500 Avios per stay every day of the year, even for one-night stays, if you choose to take miles instead of points.
