30% discount on House of Fraser gift cards for Amex cardholders

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

This offer came to light too late for Christmas, unfortunately, but may still be worth a look if you are a regular House of Fraser customer.

Amex is running a promotion with House of Fraser allowing you to order a HOF gift card – for any value – at a 30% discount.

I don’t know where Amex originally promoted this offer.  However, their partnership with SVM Europe (whose website you buy from) is genuine and Amex ran a similar offer via them last year.

Unfortunately, one of the offers then was for HMV gift cards, just before they fell into receivership!  House of Fraser is more stable, though.  SVM is also the same company that TopCashback uses for its new gift card service that I mentioned yesterday.

Has anyone had any luck in the past with HoF combining a number of gift cards? Not really sure I can be bothered to have 10, 20, 30 etc £20 cards

    • Eshaq Choudhury says:

I managed to order a Kitchenaid and although it was tedious, managed to type in about 25 of them. But since I saved quite a bit, it was worth it. I’m not sure what the limit is for the website but there doesn’t appear to be any.

    • Andy says:

Yes they will do this in store. We did it when the four square deal ran.

    • Rob says:

Might be best to sit it out for a bit and see if they restock after Christmas – although the offer may disappear entirely.

  • Max says:

Phones are excluded…so I can’t use these gift cards to buy an iPhone 🙁

  • Gordon says:

    Just ordered £500 worth for £350 + postage 🙂

  • Ralph says:

Just ordered £800 for £560, which kind of negates the secure postage charge. We could do with buying some new china and kitchen stuff so I figure a 30% discount on top of the next big HoF sales should be a good deal. Thanks Raffles I think this is a really great AmEx offer, appreciate you bringing it to our attention

    • Mr Bridge says:

you dont need to pay for secure postage, if they get lost distance selling regs say its the retailers responsibility

Does any one know if 3v are covered by the visa chargeback scheme ( no i am not talking about S75).

  • Richard says:

When it says it excludes large kitchen appliances, does that mean you can’t use them for a kitchenaid? Wouldn’t want to get the required vouchers and then find out I cant use them to buy a kitchen aid

    • Eshaq Choudhury says:

You can use them on kitchenaid which is exactly what i got 🙂

The large appliances like washing machines redirect to another website run by another company but branded with HOF. I think thats why the gift cards wont work for large appliances.

  • Nick says:

    Looks like it’s finished.

  • Dave P says:

It would appear so,site now says ‘No products available’. Glad I got in early!

  • Nick says:

I didn’t. Which is a bit of a problem really, as I’d promised my girlfriend a rather expensive handbag for her birthday on the basis that with a 30% discount, it would be within budget.

    Bugger.
