New Amex ‘statement credit’ deal at Selfridges

Amex has launched a new ‘statement credit’ deal, this time with Selfridges.

The discount is OK, offering £10 back when you spend £50 on your American Express card.

Mr Selfridge

To register, you need to log on to your American Express online statement.  In the right-hand margin should be a box called ‘My Offers’.  Click on this and you will be taken to details of the Selfridges offer.  (The Blacks Leisure discount is also still running.)

You need to click ‘save to card’ to register for the offer.  You can register all of your Amex-issued Amex cards, as long as the deal appears under ‘My Offers’.

The offer runs until 28th February, so you have plenty of time to do the eligible spend.  You could even buy £50 gift vouchers if you want to buy something later.

The offer is limited to the first 6,500 cards to register, so don’t delay.  You can do the eligible £50 of spending whenever you want, but you should register now.

  • Mike says:

I still see no offers under “your offers”, for any of my cards.

  • Idrive says:

Found and added them on Gold Pref and SPG, thanks!
Though I do not see that for the BA card.

  • Andrew says:

Unlike some of the other “credit offers” recently, this one is actually less targeted and is also available in the usual way on Foursquare. So you can stock up on gift cards to use during the sale in a couple of weeks.

  • Bob says:

Got it on my BA card but don’t often manage to get these offers on Lloyd’s Amex, having said that I did get the HN and Dixons travel on Lloyd’s also, but that was through the offer page not though statement offer. Lloyd’s statements don’t seem to offer anything. (Still waiting for sign up bonus!)

  • Katy H says:

Looks like it has one already

  • Richard says:

I am looking to sign up for amex platinum but was thinking of waiting until christmas or new year in case they have a better bonus offer or reduced price – is it likely that will happen?
    Thanks

    • Rob says:

Sometimes Amex does mailshots to existing holders of other cards offering a special deal for signing up to Platinum, either a lower fee or higher bonus. I’d say there is no chance of the current public offer improving.

  • Jonathan says:

I have never had any offers appear online in the “my offers” section on my Amex Platinum either

  • StephenF says:

Looks like this is IN STORE only, so unless you intend to take a trip to Selfridges, don’t bother. I signed up, then read the terms and conditions.
