  i’ve spotted an even better deal on avios.com.
  you can buy up to 35,000 for £399 and receive 5,000 avios on top as a bonus.

  “To take advantage of this promotion, Eligible Participants must login to Avios.com and purchase up to 35,000 Avios between 9 December (00:00:01 GMT) and 31 December (23:59:59 GMT), 2013. All other Purchase Avios terms and conditions apply.

  Eligible Participants who Purchase or Gift the full annual allowance of 35,000 by 31 December 2013 will be eligible for a 5000 Avios bonus.     also, this seems more legitimate? who are eligible participants? i though the max purchase limit is 24,000 per year? what’s the cost for that?

      so maybe the BA website anticipated the promo technically but as it was still unofficial they did not send out the email quoting the bonus yet? it might be odd but in line with current promos from other schemes?

    Well spotted Frank – reflects what I get offered as well. Can’t see it advertised – in fact i’m still getting “Buy up to 24,000 Avios a year” max until you start the order – and there it is 35,000 + 5000 bonus for £399.

      Plus, if you purchase the full 35,000 limit before 31 December, you’ll receive 5,000 bonus Avios.

  Avios note on order page makes it clear the increased limit is intended : “Avios has raised the amount of Avios you can purchase this year, increasing the limit from 24,000 to 35,000.
  Plus, if you purchase the full 35,000 limit before 31 December, you’ll receive 5,000 bonus Avios.”

  The price however is def not intended.

  OK folks. I have rewritten the post to reflect the fact that avios.com also has this error and is giving the extra 5,000 as well.
