Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Last chance for 50% bonus Avios at the Gate 365 e-store

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

A quick reminder that tomorrow, Monday 9th, is the last day to earn 50% bonus Avios on various top retailers at Gate 365, the relaunched Avios store.

The 50% bonus is available with:

Apple Store

Argos

Charles Tyrwhitt

Currys

Debenhams

Ernest Jones

House of Fraser

Hotel Chocolat

John Lewis

Play.com

Selfridges

TM Lewin

Viking

The White Company

There is also a bonus of 500 Avios for a £50 purchase, but this is ONLY valid if you have never bought from the e-store before.

As always, check TopCashback as well and do a quick comparison of what you are effectively ‘paying’ per Avios by taking miles instead of cashback.

The no-brainer is John Lewis, which does not appear on cashback sites.

  • Steve says:

I was about to push the button on a new iPad from the Apple store and take advantage of the bonus avios. The stores pays 3 per £1 with the bonus.
BUT, I then looked at the Selfridges &co. store. This pays 8+4 = 12 Avios per £1 and they sell iPads too.
Any reason not to buy from selfridges instead?! I believe that the warranty etc is along similar terms…

  • Steve says:

Typical! Selfridges out of stock on most of the iPads that I was after.
Silver lining though, as I have discovered that as I am leaving the UK to live outside the EU, I am able to claim the VAT back on shop purchases made in the last 3months…
I was going to make a slight detour to HKG as that appears to be the cheapest place to buy apple products. Not required if I can get a 16.66% discount in the apple store in the UK instead.
