An even better Laithwaites wine deal, with 3000 Virgin Flying Club miles

Last week I wrote about an attractive wine deal that British Airways Executive Club was running in conjunction with Laithwaites.

Basically, for £51 you would receive 12 bottles of wine, 1000 Avios points, free delivery and a pair of Dartington Crystal wine flutes.  Not bad.

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club has not taking this lying down, however!

It has launched its own Laithwaites / Virgin Wines deal, which is even better in my view:

You pay £59.88 for a 12-bottle case of wine (plus £8 postage)

You can choose from a white, red or mixed case

You will receive two Dartington Crystal wine flutes

You will receive 3,000 Virgin Flying Club miles!

As with the British Airways offer, you will be forced into joining the Virgin Wines Discovery Club.  This means that you will be sent cases of wine at regular intervals in the future, unless you cancel.  Read the small print carefully.

All in all, though, this is a pretty decent deal.  If you value the Virgin miles at a penny each, you are paying peanuts for the wine and the glasses.
