£10 cashback on £30 Pizza Express spend with your Amex (and £50 off £500 at Apple Store)

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the exclusive cashback deals that American Express is now offering you online when you log into your online statement.

The first batch were not great, although my wife used the ‘£10 statement credit for a £50 Harvey Nichols spend’ on Tuesday.  Amex was very efficient, and she had received an email confirming that she would get the money within a couple of hours of making the transaction.

Pizza Express

A more useful deal has now appeared, but limited to 4,000 people.  If I log in to my Amex Platinum card or my British Airways Premium Plus card, I am offered a £10 statement credit if I spend £30 at Pizza Express before the end of the year.

There is no special Pizza Express discount code or promotional code.  You log in to the Amex site, click ‘Your Offers’ in the right hand margin of your online statement page, and then click ‘Save to Card’ by the Pizza Express offer.

Since Pizza Express is happy to split bills, this also means £20 off a £60 spend etc, as long as each card has been registered for the offer.  (Note that supplementary cards do not qualify.)

I did not receive the offer on my Starwood Amex, so it clearly doesn’t apply to all Amex issued cards.

Because only 4,000 registrations will be accepted, I would register for this ASAP if you think you might be in Pizza Express before the New Year.

Registered for Pizza express on BA Amex then tried tried Lloyd’s but can’t get anything on the Lloyd’s Amex although surprisingly did manage to get the Dixons travel offer £10 on Lloyd’s so your never quite sure what they let Lloyd’s offer.

On the subject of easy money off, for those who haven’t used it yet, the £5 off £40 spend on Amazon code is still working!

Just pay (or part pay) for your amazon purchase using your registered Amex and enter AMEX5OFF in the promo code box for £5 off the order total.

Only one use per Amazon account though.
As Rob said previously, this is limited to the first 15,000 and it has been available since the end of Oct butter it worked just now on my wife’s account.
