New Tesco promo – 100 Clubcard points (240 Avios) with £20 gift card purchase

If you’re in your local Tesco this week, make sure you pick up a copy of ‘Tesco Food Family Living’ magazine.

It looks like this.

And, on page 132, there is a coupon.

It gets you 100 bonus Clubcard points (240 Avios) with the purchase of a single gift card of £20 or above.

This should – I don’t see why not – stack with the ongoing offer of 150 bonus Clubcard points when you spend £50 or more on gift cards.

Whilst the voucher says that Visa branded cards are excluded, the rules of the ‘150 bonus points’ offer also say this – but they still count.  The coupons definitely work with 3V Virtual Visa cards.

This is a very decent offer, so I would pick up a few copies of the magazine if you can.

Would someone please explain to me how I would use the 3v’s to pay my tax due.

Do I have to merge them, or would I be able to pay one at a time into my tax?

    • louie-m says:

Ignore the reference to 1.4% for credit card payments – it treats 3V as a debit card and there’s no fee.

    • kevino says:

But what do you put as your name on card?

  • Ian says:

So you have to pay 3.95 for each card is that it? So, if you buy 4 x £50 card it comes at £15.8. Am I correct or am I seeing this wrongly?

    Thanks.

I was hoping to purchase some Halfords cards, but unfortunately, they come in at £10 each, and I am assured that purchasing two of them would not qualify, as the promotion is £20 per single card. So, I am happy to try for a couple of Visa branded cards, using two coupons in the magazine and the 150 for £50 minimum purchase, but, can I be sure that they will go through @ 100 point each and the 150 point promotion. Has anybody had their purchase declined going this way ?

    • Simon says:

Got some of the £50 Visa cards this weekend and got 150 points and 100 points with the coupon. Unless the person on the till decides to read the terms and conditions on the coupon and refuses to scan it there shouldn’t be a problem, it hasn’t been for me so far.

    • Jonny says:

i have experienced likewise – as long as they are scanned, you’ll get the points.
if you;re lucky, the till person will scan the same voucher multiple times but most seem to prefer individual vouchers
