Tesco Phone Shop offering up to 10,000 Clubcard points (24,000 Avios) with ‘pay monthly’ phones

    Yep. And, sometimes, even longer. I actually called them up last time to check when, exactly, the points would be credited. I was told they couldn’t say, but would definitely be on my November statement. This, it turns out, is not true. Tesco have looked at it and whilst they accept the advice I was given was incorrect, they have done nothing about it. Those points were needed to book honeymoon flights, so I’ve had to significantly rearrange plans. A not-inconsiderable pain.

    The other word of warning is that you will be dealing with Tesco Phone Shop, which is incredibly painful.

  Thanks for the heads up – I got my other half a Samsung S3 mini with 25k bonus points – was unsure 2 months later how long I need to leave it before chasing. Also forgot to take screenshot of points which could come back to haunt me I feel.

  My mate ordered a phone last year at 25,000 cc points, and complained bitterly when they didnt arrive within 2 months… cue 25,000 points arriving, then …..guess what a month later the original 25,000 points arrived. 😀

  I had some problems with reclaiming 20,000 points but had the original copy of the order clearly stating the points. I was passed between my contract provider and tesco and did get the points and the phone was a great phone and i used anyway for 2 years. bonus. There may be some chasing involved in crediting them so best to check and make sure they are added on. It was only possible to get the points after 3 points of paying the monthly contract.
