Earning Clubcard points (ie Avios) at Dobbies coming to an end?

Not many people know that Tesco bought the Dobbies chain of garden centres back in 2007. Since then, it has been run separately with very little integration.
Whatever plan Tesco had for the business has apparently been shelved, and to be honest I would expect it to be sold in the medium term as Tesco tries to turn around its core UK business.
Dobbies was not even part of Clubcard until late 2013.
18 months ago, Tesco launched a very cautious trial of Tesco Clubcard at six Dobbies stores – Aberdeen, Carlisle, Dundee, Inverness, King’s Lynn and Peterborough.
Buy something at these stores and you earn 1 Clubcard point for every £1 spent. You can also redeem Clubcard vouchers at these stores, although as you will only get face value for them I would strongly recommend that you don’t do this – better stick to Avios points ….
The Clubcard page on the Dobbies website now implies that this experiment is over. It implies that no more Clubcard points will be issued after April 30th and that the last day to spend your Clubcard vouchers in Dobbies will be December 31st 2015. I would be surprised if Tesco even owns the business by that date.
