Catch up with your favourite inflight magazine with Apple Newstand

Newsstand was introduced to the iphone and ipad with iOS5, as a depository for downloaded magazine and newspaper subscriptions.

A number of airlines have added their inflight magazines to Newsstand, available to download for no charge.

It is also worth remembering that an overseas holiday is a good time to take advantage of the free trial subscriptions offered online by some newspapers. There is a 14-day free trial of The Telegraph iPad app at the moment, for example, which would see you through a holiday.
