Hilton launches new Autumn promotion – ‘More Nights, More Points’

Hilton HHonors has launched its Quarter 4 promotion – ‘More Nights, More Points’ – which will run from October 10th to January 31st.

This will operate across all of the Hilton brands, including Conrad, Waldorf-Astoria, Hampton Inn etc.

It is an easy one to get your head around. To quote:

What is the promotion?

Members who register and complete an eligible stays at participating Hilton HHonors hotels and resorts will earn their standard HHonors Base Points plus:

“Double Points” on stays of 2 consecutive nights,
“Triple Points” on stays of 3 consecutive nights, or
“Quadruple Points” on stays of 4 or more consecutive nights

The registration page is not yet available, although the rules are – see here.

You will need to register before your first stay to receive the bonus. The registration link will be here but it is not working at the time of writing.

There will, no doubt, be a long list of non-participating hotels so don’t make any firm bookings yet on the back of taking part in the promotion. It could be very lucrative for long stays – although Hilton’s devaluation earlier this year still makes any points-based promotion look decidedly unexciting.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (December 2021)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit cards. Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

Did you know that the Virgin Atlantic credit cards are a great way of earning Hilton Honors points? Two Virgin Points can be converted into three Hilton Honors points. The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.

You can also earn Hilton Honors points indirectly with American Express Gold (20,000 bonus points), the American Express Rewards Credit Card (5,000 bonus points) and – for small business owners – American Express Business Gold (20,000 bonus points) and Business Platinum (40,000 bonus points).

  I think so, because Hilton doesn’t seem to have the silly rule that IHG / Priority Club does about having to pay a certain % of the rack rate.
  
  Put it this way, quite a few people on HFP have booked these and no-one has ever emailed me to say they didn’t get the points.

What a rubbish promotion for those of us that mainly have one night stays! Also for the two night stay I DO have, it’s falling between Q3 and Q4 promos!

However it’s fine for accruing points/miles. Even the corporate benefit one is OK for this, although is excluded from most promotions previously – given they haven’t published any excluded rate codes then you should be OK as long as it’s a rate that normally earns points/stay credit, which PR11PN is.

A couple of questions..
1. Do all 4 nights have to be at the same hotel or could they be 4 nights at 4 different hotels (trying to get the fast gold upgrade as per article a while ago)
2. Does the 40% public sector discount still count towards the 4 participating stays for the fast gold status and does it count on this promotion?

I checked the website and the Conrad seems to be participating in the deal. I also found the 25% gateway prices promo code, which was given to me by reservations, if anyone wants to use extra 25% the code is PGGG8.

I am paying for this stay, but the only reason why I wanted the Conrad is for the proximity to my conference and everything else, a treat for my mother as she is joining me for a trip to Dubai and the lounge is mostly for her while I am away.
Plus I get the breakfast and internet included ad all points. I was also thinking of asking for a status challenge as I have few trips coming up.

Do you have any other hotels to suggest in Dubai that offer good value?

  Directly opposite the Conrad is Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
  
  The key benefit of Emirates Towers is that they give you a pass which gets you access to their two beach resorts, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Madinat Jumeirah. They also run free shuttle buses to the beach, but frankly you’re better off paying £7 for a taxi. If you wanted to use the beach whilst there, it is worth a look.   Next door to the Conrad is the Crowne Plaza Dubai but that looks a bit old (not that I have been inside). And obviously there are hundreds of other options, but not opposite the conference centre.
  
  The best place, full stop, in my opinion is one of three Madinat Jumeirah properties – Al Qasr, Dar Al Masyaf, Mina a Salam. They are probably the worlds best beach resort complex, taken as a whole (ie the quality of the hotel, the staff, the restaurant mix, the beach, the spa, the retail). You’ll never see anywhere like it. During UK school holidays it is eye wateringly expensive (a suite or 2 rooms for a family would be £1,000 per night, which is why we go to Emirates Towers instead) but outside the holidays it can be good value. It would be a £7, 20 minute taxi ride to the convention centre from there but your Mum would have a great time on her own.

Thanks Raffles again you spot it.
Actually my conference is in Medinat Jumeirah so makes a lot more sense. Even though I would love to stay in Medinat, I know that I will not make full use of it as I will be mostly on business so the Towers can work quite well.

  Oh, I assumed you were in the Conrad because it is opposite the expo centre!
  
  If you’ve got access to Madinat via the conference there is no benefit staying at JET (I assume) over anywhere else, as you can get onto their beach, except that you can cross-charge from Madinat to your JET room.
