Bonus promotion for booking Virgin Upper Class in October (fly by February)

Virgin Atlantic has launched a bonus promotion for anyone booking an Upper Class flight before 20th October. You have until the end of February to actually take the flight.

Full details and registration can be found here.

Your flights must be in booking classes J, C, D, Z or I to qualify – I am not fully on top of the Virgin ticketing structure, so I don’t know if this excludes non-refundable sale tickets, for example.

There are three benefits:

You earn an extra two tier points per segment, up to four segments. This can make a big difference on your progression towards Gold status – a return to New York would earn 16 tier points instead of 12, for example.

You earn 50% bonus miles on your first four segments. This is on top of status bonuses etc.

You earn a free Little Red return flight (Heathrow to Manchester / Aberdeen / Edinburgh) for each of your first two segments, up to two segments.

It is worth noting that you will NOT be asked to pay the standard £35 of taxes on your Little Red free flights. However, availability will come from the usual reward buckets so you are not guaranteed availability on the flights you want.

All in all, this is not a life changing promotion from Virgin – especially if you have no interest in the Little Red redemptions – but you’d be crazy not to register if you will be flying Virgin Upper Class anyway.

  • Robin says:

I’d say it does include non-refundable sale tickets as they are booked in Z or I class
NB Booking Classes J,C,D and I, include complimentary chauffeur transfers in most destinations.
But Z class is the cheapest and – usually non-refundable with no chauffeur
