Last chance for 6,500 Miles & More miles with the M&M credit card

A quick heads up that the current promotion on the Lufthansa UK ‘Miles & More’ credit card is ending tomorrow, August 30th.

This is far from the greatest credit card deal of all time. The sign-up bonus, usually just 1,500 Miles & More miles, is increased to 6,500 miles.

However, there are reasons to have the card:

M&M miles are hard to earn for a UK resident (not an Amex partner, not a Tesco partner etc) so the card does offer a decent earnings route

You earn 2 miles per £1 on the Amex card for the first six months, which is an excellent rate. After that it drops back to 1.5 miles per £1.

Your Miles & More miles will not expire as long as you have the card and use it once a month. This is important if your M&M miles are heading towards expiry, as the M&M expiry policy is pretty harsh if you don’t have status in the programme.

You don’t need to do much to earn the bonus – the spend target is only £500 in 90 days

The cards have no annual fee

The application form can be found here.

Just applied for this 10pm on 30 Aug and looks like I will only get the 1500 points. Still that isn;t what I want the card for.

    Thanks for posting

Wait and see what posts. They can see when you applied and you can clearly argue it was before midnight on the last day.

  • DontLikeFruit says:

Slightly O/T, but I’ve just noticed that the Melia Rewards “bonus” points that I transferred to M&M have now been removed. A few similar occurences reported on the FlyerTalk M&M forum. Anyone else had this?

    • Rob says:

Someone sent me a link to this last night. I will have a dig around. Mine went to Iberia and then to BA, so probably safe!
