Earn £15 in redspottedhanky train ticket vouchers with Fantasy Football

During Wimbledon, regular readers will know that train ticket booking company redspottedhanky.com ran a fantasy tennis league. The better your players did, the more money you made – paid to you in redspottedhanky.com travel vouchers. The Head for Points league earned over £1,100 for its participants.

If you took part in this, the points will now be sitting in your RSH account. You can redeem them for a RSH train tickets evoucher or a voucher for Costa etc or some other bits and pieces. AwardWallet also supports RSH if you want to keep track of your points.

The company has just announced their third ‘fantasy league’ game – a Fantasy Football League which will run until May 2014.

If you want to register a team, you need to enter before Saturday 17th August for maximum benefit. You can join at any point during the season, but after 17th August you will already have missed at least one game.

I am NOT going to be setting up a Head for Points league for this tournament. For a capped maximum reward of £15, I have no intention of devoting a large amount of time to this. However, I certainly will be setting up a team for myself and my wife. I will simply let it run for the season, without spending any time changing players around from week to week. I reckon I should be able to make close to £15 through this route anyway.

You can, of course, take the game more seriously if you want. If your primary interest is some money off train tickets, though, I would simply set up a random team (there is an option to have a team randomly picked for you) and let nature take its course in terms of how they perform.

I’ll certainly have a go at this, have just been selecting my Telegraph teams. Thanks for the heads up about the tennis comp crediting, I’d been waiting for that to book some tickets.

    Ah, that’ll be it – I was looking under e-vouchers like with the tesco ones. Just checked loyalty points, which is a surprising faff to do, and my Wimbledon points are there having credited on the 26th. Thanks for the correct pointer!

My 1,500 points from the Wimbledon competition have credited.

At first I couldn’t see mention of loyalty points for this one but ot’s tucked away in the T&C’s, one loyalty point for every point you score in the game , max. 1500.

There’s also a referral bonus for RSH loyalty account, both parties get triple points on the new member’s first booking.

    If you mean joining a league I don’t think there are any tangible benefits, it’s just for fun. But after creating a team I had to join a league, I thought it was part of the process and as I didn’t know a league to join I created one.
