British Airways has announced the first routes to fly its new Boeing 787 aircraft, the first of which was quietly delivered this week ahead of a large public unveiling alongside the first A380, due in a few days.
BA has a rather snazzy website about the 787’s here, along with a video and interior photos.
The Toronto service starts on September 1st, with the BA93 service operating as a 787 every day. The BA97 will operate as a 787 on certain days from September 15th.
To New York Newark, the service starts on October 1st, but only on the BA187 service at 18.15. This will operate as a 787 every day.
This is the seat map of the new plane:
The only feature of note is the single middle seat in Club World. It will be interesting to see if this becomes a coffin-style hideout or a long-overdue area of privacy for the solo traveller!
No First Class, note.
