After a small break, Tesco Direct has brought back its pre-order deals.  This allows you to earn a large pile of bonus Tesco Clubcard points when you order a DVD, CD or Blu-Ray which is coming soon.

Note that Tesco charges you immediately for pre-orders.  However, the upside is that you will also receive your bonus Clubcard points immediately!

The deals are:

150 Clubcard points when you spend £10 on pre-order DVD’s and 200 Clubcard points when you spend £15 on pre-order Blu-Ray disks (selection here)

100 Clubcard points when you spend £8 on pre-order CD’s (selection here)

There are no offers on books or games this time as far as I can tell.

The 500 points are showing up for me – which is perfect, because I wanted to pre-order 2 games today! 🙂

    Basket total £37.00

    Clubcard points 37
    Extra Clubcard points 500
    Total Clubcard points 537

      Hello all,

Reference the pre-order games: If you opt for Rome2 or Company of Heroes2, you can claim an additional 200 points on top of the 500. You’ll need to add an additional game to bring it above the £35 threshold each, as mentioned earlier. As these are pre-orders, I’d also recommend you split the delivery, as you could be waiting a long time between each delivery. So the total result would be over 735 points. As these are someway off, from delivery, the pre-orders are also likely to get you a refund if the cost is less on delivery (a Tesco price promise), so your final total spend my be under £35 but you’ll still benefit from the original points added. 🙂

      Best, Glenn

Sorry I don’t get how you can do this. For example ‘company of heroes’ costs £30, and I don’t see any other per-order game for £5

        • chris says:

its called you either pay more and get one of the bouns ones + another cheapest, (total like that is £47 i think)

or you order both together for £58 i think, and get 900 and something CC points, tho you will have to wait until the second game is released in sept to get the first like that (tho would be cheaper over all, but waiting vs paying more is your choice)

*there are better things to do per pound for CC points anyways, i tend not to bother with offers under 40 points a pound*

  • Richie says:

The cheapest looks like its 13.99

  • Luke says:

I ordered the BD of The Croobs or whatever it’s called. Figuring to sell it on eBay, shrink wrapped 🙂

  • Robin says:

    Hi

anyone know if making separate orders if there are several games etc nets you the 500 points each time?

    thanks

    • Chris Ball says:

I did it last month with copies of Grid 2 and each order issued bonus points. I had 4 copies 500 preorder bonus and 200 points for Grid 2 specifically, plus 38 points for the spend. Each order gave me 738 points

  • Mark says:

This no longer seems to be available on pre-order DVDs. Preorder for a £12.50 DVD is showing only 12 Clubcard points.

  • Dean says:

Just some advice…. when you do purchase X amount of games for the clubcard points – where do you sell them for best price/s?

I have ordered the Company of heroes 2 – received the 700+ points, but now need to get rid of it.
