I’ll give one of those 17% the 20,000 Avios myself if we win!

  • Ben E says:

Denmark are odds on with the bookies apparently. Azerbaijan is meant to be quite a good outside bet. Otherwise Norway is also a good option.

  • David says:

The tactical question here, is whether you go with the favourite (e.g. Denmark) to have the greater chance to be in the draw, but have worse odds in the draw itself.
Or you go with another ‘possible’ winner for the competition, and if they are sucessfull enjoy better odds in the draw.

Or you just remember it is a draw, and stop thinking about it, which is what I did when I entered earlier in the week (before the semi-finals).

Does anyone else think this whole semi-finals thing, etc, reduces the random surprise element – it used to be you never knew what kind of ack would turn up on the night from each country. But I suppose they need more TV hours out of it to justify the expense.

    Hello,

    Was the winner announced yet?

  • Daniel (PZE) says:

    Thanks Raffles… a very useful tip 😉

    • David says:

      Congrats!

    • Rob says:

Ah, it was you! I saw the name on the Twitter feed but it didn’t click with your comment until David posted.

      Well done!

You can do me a favour now and tweet back to Avios that you found it here 🙂

      • Daniel (PZE) says:

I’ve not been on twitter for ages & didn’t realise it had been announced – found their tweet now. Tbh I assumed it was a phishing scam when I first got the email saying but sent my Avios account number anyway figuring nobody could do much damage with that; so it was a nice surprise to get an email back immediately confirming that the Avios would be credited shortly. They posted yesterday. So much easier than applying for another Amex…
