Proof that the TopCashback to Tesco Clubcard conversion process works

A few weeks ago I wrote about the exciting new partnership between TopCashback, the cashback shopping site (a Quidco clone) and Tesco Clubcard. You can read my orginal articles here and here.
Basically, TopCashback is now giving members the option of being paid in Tesco Clubcard points. If you earn £10 cashback by shopping at a participating retailer, you can choose to have that money sent over to Tesco instead of being paid to you.
TopCashback even adds on a 5% bonus for free.
£10 cashback therefore becomes 1,050 Clubcard points. That is worth 2,520 Avios points or 2,625 Virgin Flying Club miles. You are effectively paying just 0.39p per Avios! Even better, you could save your Clubcard vouchers for the next Tesco to Avios conversion bonus, and get 30%-50% more Avios.
I have just successfully made my first conversion from TopCashback to Tesco. I sent £20 across last Friday, and I got an email from TopCashback on Tuesday to confirm that it had been done.
They did not, as it happens, show immediately in my Clubcard account, but the 2,100 Clubcard points were there a day later, on Wednesday. That is 5 days from sending them across.
So, the process is clearly working OK and TopCashback and Tesco are being very efficient in sending your cashback across.
If you are not already a member of TopCashback, you can join via this link. I receive a small referral credit, although unfortunately you do not receive anything (!). However, I am very grateful for your support and it helps to underwrite the costs of the site.
