Earn Clubcard points (=Avios) completing surveys with Shopper Thoughts

Shopper Thoughts is a new-ish market research business which conducts e-mail surveys of shoppers.

They have just become a Tesco Clubcard partner, which gives you the opportunity to earn some easy Avios by completing their surveys in your spare time.

An ad for Shopper Thoughts recently appeared in an in-store Tesco magazine, asking for new recruits!  You can sign up via the Shopper Thoughts website.

The concept is simple enough:

Shopper Thoughts is a new way for consumers to share their experiences and thoughts. This helps us to develop the right products and to create the best shopping experience we can for you

We’d like to know your thoughts

Every day you’re faced with lots of different choices. Not just along the supermarket aisles, but in every walk of your day-to-day life. If you’re a member of the Shopper Thoughts Panel, we will send you regular surveys to complete so that we can understand what you like and what you dislike, what issues are important to you and how we can serve you better in the future.

The small print shows that the scheme seems fair.

It gives the example of earning 100 Clubcard points for a 15-minute survey.  If this is accurate, then you are earning 240 Avios (c £2) for 15 minutes of your time, so the hourly rate is not bad – especially if you are watching TV at the time!

More importantly, if you choose to take Clubcard points rather than Shopper Thoughts Points, the Clubcard points post after each survey.  There is no minimum balance to reach before your points are transferred, which is the biggest problem with competitor e-rewards.

Further details and the sign-up page can be found here.  Remember to select Clubcard points as your earning preference.

Looks like just one membership per household. It’s owned by Tesco. Might be a good idea to always say more clubcard points would make me buy the product etc.

  • Andy S says:

In the last few months I have earned 2500 avios from erewards alone.

  • Gulliver says:

Shopper Thoughts has actually been around for quite some time. I have been a member for a least the last couple of years. I think however that, until recently, it was operated by Tesco on very much an invite-only basis for a small proportion of their Clubcard customer database to participate in. I have generally averaged earning somewhere around 150 to 300 Clubcard points per quarter; so it’s not going to be a particularly lucrative earner. But, as they say, Every Little Helps!

I’ve also been a member of this for some time, but due to some issue I can’t remember about, I wasn’t able to sign up for clubcard rewards, only ‘shopper points’ which even after doing at least 10 surveys I’m yet to actually receive any reward from – I’ve got points, but not enough apparently.
Also, once you have chosen your reward method apparently it can never be changed, so I’m stuck with some near useless points.

I just signed up and opted for clubcard scheme, and its says if i want to I can change to the shopper points scheme, but I can only change once. So dont know if it will say the same for you? But obviously the other way around, shopper points > clubcard?

      • chris says:

it says that you can change once, but if you try to it wont let you,
