Save £30 on Club Europe Avios redemptions to selected destinations

Avios.com has launched a special offer on redemptions in Club Europe, BA’s short-haul business class. It is not a life-changing deal, but it is worth knowing about if you were thinking of a short break this Spring. You can book Club Europe redemptions for 15,000 Avios plus £130 taxes to:

  • Barcelona
  • Lisbon
  • Vienna
  • Budapest
  • Prague
  • Pisa
  • Rome

Here are the important things to bear in mind:

The standard price for these redemptions, using ‘cash and Avios’, would be 15,000 Avios plus £160 in taxes.  You are therefore only saving £30 per person.

If you choose an ‘all Avios’ redemption, there is no saving.

You need to book by 31st March

You need to travel by 30th June, judging by test bookings I tried

You can only book at avios.com, not via ba.com.  If your Avios are sitting in British Airways Executive Club, you need to move them to avios.com using ‘Combine My Avios’.

If you don’t already have an account at avios.com, you will need to open one.  Only UK residents can do this.

There is no special code or link.  The lower £130 taxes figure will pop out automatically at avios.com when you do a dummy booking.

Apart from this specific case, is there a generic advantage in storing the points in an avios account rather than in a BA Exectutive Club?

  • Andrew (@andrewseftel) says:

0.6p/Avios vs RFS. Probably worth it if you would have booked anyway.

  • Rob says:

    I did this deal, actually!

It is a very old link, as BA no longer has a deal with NatWest. The offer of ‘BA Miles’ rather than ‘Avios’ is the giveaway.

  • Max says:

Thanks for the clarification….easy AVIOS though
