Regular readers will know that I like to highlight interesting new hotels being opened by Priority Club chains such as Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and InterContinental.
The last deal I wrote about was the new InterContinental in Marseille (see below). This is still available for booking at 40,000 points per night – it opens on May 1st – which is a decent deal.
Newly opened for booking is the Crowne Plaza in Edinburgh. This is a conversion of the Roxburghe Hotel, previously run by Macdonald Hotels, on Charlotte Square.
This can currently be booked – for arrivals after June 1st – for 35,000 Priority Club points per night. This compares very favourably with, for example, the Holiday Inn Express which is also 35,000 points per night in comparison.
Cannes is another one to keep an eye on. There is a new Holiday Inn due to open in September. Rooms appeared for a short period at 20,000 points per night, but then disappeared again and there is now no availability for any date, cash or points. I will keep an eye on this one.
If you want to keep an eye out for similar deals, this web page lists new openings across all Priority Club brands.
