New BA video – ‘A Glimpse Inside Our New A380’

Last year I wrote this post about BA’s upcoming introduction of the A380 and B787 (although the latter is looking a lot less likely this year, given the current grounding of the fleet!).

BA has now released this video giving a glimpse inside the cabin of an A380:

There is nothing too radical in there, except for the 2 x 3 x 2 layout in Club World upstairs. This compares with 2 x 2 upstairs on a Boeing 747 and 2 x 4 x 2 downstairs, or on a Boeing 777.

The first routes for the A380’s have now been confirmed as Los Angeles and Hong Kong. LA flights start on 15th October, Hong Kong from 15th November. The flights already show in the BA timetable if you want to book yourself a reward seat to try it out.

However, expect a few training flights to and from Madrid first!
