I posted yesterday about the current Avis / Avios promotion, and I compared it to the 1,000 Virgin Flying Club miles available on Hertz rentals.
Duncan posted a link to this promotion which looks pretty good on the face of it.
Hertz is offering 2,013 Virgin Flying Club miles if you rent for 3 days or more, in any country, before the end of June. The only catches are:
a) you need to book by February 28th, despite having until 30th June to pick it up, and
b) you need to use the Virgin discount codes, which may not necessarily be the cheapest you can access
And, of course, for rentals of under 3 days the standard Hertz deal of 1,000 Virgin miles is also attractive.
As per my post yesterday, remember that Iberia Plus is offering 900 Avios per day on Hertz rentals (minimum 3 days). That deal has tighter restrictions on car class and country of rental, though.
