I wrote back in November about Hilton‘s ‘AnyWeekend Anywhere’ promotion.

This offers very discounted weekend rates (some hotels have also listed them for weekdays, possibly in error) which are valid for any weekend in 2013.  However, you need to book by the end of January and prepay your room.

Hilton Christmas promotion

For just 24 hours, starting at 11am US Eastern Time today (so 4pm, I think, UK time), you can earn an extra 2,500 Hilton HHonors points on every sale booking, up to a maximum of 10,000 points.

I value Hilton points at £5 per 1,000 so you’re effectively getting an extra £12.50 back per booking.

To get your bonus, you need to visit the Hilton Facebook page between 4pm Wednesday and 4pm Thursday (UK time) and then book your room via the usual website at the ‘Anyweekend Anywhere’ rate.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (December 2021)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

Do you know that holders of The Platinum Card from American Express receive FREE Hilton Honors Gold status for as long as they hold the card?  It also comes with Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Radisson Rewards Gold and MeliaRewards Gold status.  We reviewed American Express Platinum in detail here and you can apply here.

Did you know that the Virgin Atlantic credit cards are a great way of earning Hilton Honors points? Two Virgin Points can be converted into three Hilton Honors points. The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.

You can also earn Hilton Honors points indirectly with American Express Gold (20,000 bonus points), the American Express Rewards Credit Card (5,000 bonus points) and – for small business owners – American Express Business Gold (20,000 bonus points) and Business Platinum (40,000 bonus points).

The Milton Keynes Hilton looks to have some £41 weekend nights, if you’re just looking to get away. Coupled with the doubled miles offer, you could also get 1500 avios (pick Iberia as your partner), it’s pretty cheap!

  • Raffles says:

If you register for the FB promo, it is possible (but of course not certain) that Hilton will count any sale booking you made at this rate and give you the 2,500 points anyway, regardless of booking date. Slightly long shot but worth a go.
